R-LABS is excited to announce the addition of Erik Garbin to our Leadership Team as Managing Director, Ventures (MD, Ventures). Erik will report to George Carras, Founder and CEO of R-LABS, and will be based in our Toronto office.
In his role at R-LABS, Erik will lead the Partnership’s new venture creation and corporate innovation activities.
Erik brings extensive experience in venture building with entrepreneurs and corporations, venture investing, startup incubation, and corporate innovation services.

Erik was previously a Partner with the Boston Consulting Group and its venture building arm, BCG Digital Ventures, where he worked with a broad range of global corporations to build and launch new ventures. He also partnered with institutional investors to design and stand-up venture studios of their own. Erik was recently the Head of Venture Strategy at Highline Beta, a hybrid venture capital fund and venture studio, working with founders and corporations to ideate, launch, and scale new companies. Erik has built ventures in Fintech, Enterprise SaaS, and AI/Machine Learning, generating and validating ideas from initial problem spaces through to company incorporation and launch.
