Head of People

Reporting to the Managing Director Investment, you will build and shape the talent acquisition and people management function for R-LABS’ and our new ventures. We are looking for someone with experience running end to end recruitment funnels for cross functional teams and who has worked with management teams to design organizational structures and define functional roles. The role will also play a material part in building on a strong companywide culture aligned with the values of R-Labs and the unique abilities of the team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and shape the culture of R-LABS
  • Develop and execute a talent acquisition plan
  • Assist with business planning and growth of the new ventures by ensuring recruitment is aligned with business objectives
  • Develop role descriptions
  • Build cohesion between R-LABS the lab ventures
  • Supporting growth and development of employees with the lab and ventures
  • Work with external consultants to develop employee development programs
  • Develop organizational policies and procedures for new ventures
  • Advise on employee policies and benefits and develop Employee Handbook
  • Member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee
  • Onboard new hires
  • Create onboarding documents and processes

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a talent acquisition or similar role
  • Experience working with management teams to design organizational charts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven experience managing a pipeline of potential hires and hiring for scaling technology start-ups
  • Experience hiring across functions including but not limited to management, engineers, UX/design, product management, sales and marketing
  • Experience developing effective teams and building a great company culture
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • A self-starter and team player
  • A relevant degree or equivalent practical experience
