Background
David Barnes is a former M&A and real estate investment banker with venture leadership experience.
David spent 12 years as an investment banker at TD Securities, initially in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group, then moving into the Real Estate Group. Over this time, he completed over $15 billion of transactions across a range of industries but with a particular focus on capital and M&A in the real estate sector.
David then pursued his passion for entrepreneurship by serving as President of an emerging venture which developed a technology for cultivating and processing sustainable protein. In this role, he led efforts on capital raising, sales & marketing, distribution, operations, and scaling.
In his role at R-LABS, David will draw upon his capital raising and M&A expertise, his background in real estate, and perspectives gained from his venture experience to add value to the team.
David is passionate about working towards innovative solutions to pervasive problems in the real estate sector. When not engaged in work, David can be found enjoying a run, a round of golf or spending quality time with his family.

- Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) with a double major in Finance and Marketing from the Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba
