Background
Erik Garbin is an experienced venture builder and problem solver who works with founders, corporations and investors to develop and launch new companies.
Over the past decade, Erik has partnered with a broad set of corporations and institutional investors to build venture studios and launch new ventures as a Partner with the Boston Consulting Group and its venture building arm, BCG Digital Ventures. He also has experience working with early-stage founders and innovators as Head of Venture Strategy for Highline Beta, a hybrid venture capital fund and venture studio. Erik has built ventures in Fintech, Enterprise SaaS and AI/Machine Learning – generating and validating ideas from initial problem spaces through to company incorporation and launch.
At R-LABS, Erik leads the Ventures team in its work with entrepreneurs and industry partners to validate and launch purpose-driven companies in real estate.
Erik has a passion for solving problems once thought impossible through new technologies and business models, and the real estate sector provides no shortage of opportunity. Outside the Lab, Erik can be found on the trail – either hiking, mountain biking or snowboarding – usually with a camera and a few lenses stashed somewhere in his pack.
