Background
As CEO of Greater Vancouver Realtors (GVR), Jeff provides leadership structure and service to help GVR members excel and foster confidence in the real estate profession. He carries a breadth of experience and business acumen acquired through a diverse career in various sectors, ranging from specialty insurance and music rights to RightsTech and organized real estate.
Throughout his career, Jeff has operated as an award-winning executive with SOCAN, Canada’s music rights organization, serving as COO and Chief Corporate Development Officer for over a decade while engaging in CEO duties for SOCAN subsidiaries. He has been Chair of DDEX (Digital Data Exchange), a global standards organization focused on creating digital value chain standards for the music industry, and the CEO of Atop TV, a television streaming service.
Further to his notable professional achievements, Jeff is an active member in a number of business incubators including MusicTech, The Sandbox, Innovators Alliance and MaRS. His extensive experience in strategy, innovation, licensing, distribution and corporate planning has made him a sought-after public speaker, featured at a number of industry events and conferences around the globe, such as SXSW, Arab League, CMW, MusicBiz and several regional events focused on digital disruption.
