Background
As the CEO of the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board (TRREB). John DiMichele leads the largest real estate board in North America with over 65,000 members and 70,000 users in the Greater Toronto Area. His primary role at TRREB is to better understand, examine and optimize the economic competitiveness and livability in the Greater Golden Horseshoe Region. By bringing together the right people and technologies, John has been able to facilitate evidence-based initiatives that improve communities across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.
John’s key priorities are the protection of privacy and MLS® data intellectual property rights while overseeing the creation of a future facing MLS® system. Another of his major initiative is the research and optimization of the economic competitiveness and livability of the Greater Golden Horseshoe Region.
John’s combination of practitioner and technology experience gives him a unique perspective into our industry’s transformation. Over the course of his career, he has contributed to the efforts of the Ontario Real Estate Association, served on the Canadian Real Estate Association Board of Directors and was the Chair of the National MLS® and Technology Council. Through these roles, John is championing for connectivity and collaboration between municipalities so we can build better cities.
