Background
Matt Skynner has more than 25 years experience as a technology executive working with global multinationals, Canadian startups and within the Canadian innovation ecosystem. He is an experienced general manager and operator with a varied background in strategic planning, P&L ownership, product management, marketing, business development, finance and HR.
A strategic executive with a proven track record of leading, motivating, and mentoring world-class teams of greater than 100 Professionals, Matt has held senior level positions with Honeywell’s Commercial Buildings Group, ATI Technologies, and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). His experience within the innovation ecosystem includes C-Level roles with Canadian startup, Braingrid, and with ventureLAB, a leading Innovation Hub in the greater Toronto area.
Today, Matt is responsible for managing R-LABS’ lab operations, including Marketing, Finance, HR, and Legal.
Matt is passionate about levearaging the power of innovation to create intelligent solutions to complex challenges. Away from R-LABS, Matt enjoys spending time with his amazing family, traveling and learning about and using new and innovative technologies.
