R-LABS Welcomes Amar Singh, EVP, Commercial Advisory, Infrastructure Ontario, to the Industry Issue + Transformation Council

R-LABS, is pleased to announce the appointment of Amar Singh, Executive Vice President, Commercial Advisory at Infrastructure Ontario, to its Industry Issue + Transformation (I+T) Council. Amar joins a growing coalition of leaders committed to solving systemic challenges in real estate and housing through innovation and venture creation. 

The I+T Council stands at the forefront of real estate innovation, comprised of an industry-leading group that includes representatives from BILD, CAGBC, CreateTO, FRPO, Greater Vancouver Realtors, Housing Infrastructure and Communities Canada, Nch’ḵay̓ Development Corporation, REALPAC, TRBOT, TRREB, RESCON, and York University Development Corp. These organizations are dedicated to promoting much-needed innovation to the real estate and housing sectors. 

As the Real Estate Industry Venture Builder, R-LABS is a partnership of innovative corporations and institutions including Co-operators, Dorsay Development, Empire, Hatch, LandSure, OMERS, Oxford, rennie, and Teranet along with game-changing entrepreneurs delivering industry innovation through the creation of new technology-enabled companies. These ventures are piloted locally and scaled globally. Through R-LABS and the I+T Council, the partnership effectively aligns and actively engages key industry stakeholders across the real estate and housing sub-sectors to drive awareness and participation in industry innovation.

Amar leads Infrastructure Ontario’s Commercial Advisory practice, which provides targeted commercial advice, complex deal-making, and digital capabilities to help government tackle some of its most intractable public-policy challenges. Amar’s areas of focus, including rural and remote connectivity, construction sector productivity, and digital transformation of service delivery, align closely with the Council’s mission to tackle industry-wide issues through collaborative innovation. A Chartered Public Accountant and Wilfrid Laurier MBA, Amar combines both analytical rigor and a public service ethos. His career spans policy and execution roles in healthcare reform, economic and environmental portfolios, and large-scale program reviews.
